It took 3 years to the actual owner to built this amazing stone villa with its 60 cm thick walls. Designed of the very distinct Venetian style, it was ready in 2000. It has a magnificent view on the sea and on the village of Ktikados and is well protected from the northern winds and surrounded by a luxuriant garden.
The Villa is composed of the main house and two independent guest-houses. Its total surface is appr. 400 sq. meters.
The main house is two-floored with a mezzanine (office) and comprises three sitting rooms (two on the ground floor, one the first floor), one dining room and two kitchen rooms (main and additional) on the ground floor. The twin guest houses (ground floor and first floor) situated as annexed to but independent from the main house. They comprise, each, a bedroom and a sitting room (in one large piece), an equipped kitchenette and a bathroom. The upper one has two verandas, the ground one is immersed in the garden.

The garden has three semi open courtyards with a garden WC and pergolas in teak wood. In the upper garden, a sitting space with an outward fireplace is arranged with a magnificent view on the sea and the island of Syros.
The swimming pool is composed of an open part and a covered part (by a cross vaulted stone ceiling). This part covered communicates with the house through a corridor to the second kitchen. As big as 42 sqm, the swimming pool is surrounded by stone arcades; its open part is shaded by a huge mulberry tree. Next to it you will find a very convenient outdoor shower, a built-in barbecue and a traditional stone-oven.
Its particularity is that it is actually 2 pools which can be divided in a heated winter pool.
At the entrance of the villa a set of pergolas creates a sitting area around a huge stone table, which is covered by fig trees. There are three outside parking places and a garage for one car.

The village of Ktikados is classified as traditional (Venetian from XIII century). It is closed to car traffic. The house enjoys exceptionally car access as built at the edge of the village. The village is half orthodox, half catholic with two superb churches for each dogma. Apart from the main road leading to the main town of Tinos (Chora), there are two stone paths (kalderimia), which used to connect the village to the main town and the port of Ktikados (Kiona), ideal for solitary walks in a superb landscape (1 hour each). The port of Ktikados has excellent wind protected beaches, restaurants and the main archaeological site of the inland, the ancient temple of Poseidon).
Ktikados has two taverns, a tiny one within a grocery and a larger one with a breathtaking view on the sea and the islands, which is considered among the two best of Tinos (Drossia).

The island of Tinos makes part of the Cycladic islands (named after their circular position towards the sacred island of Apollo, Delos) and is the second larger after Naxos. It is composed of 47 villages all of them declared as traditional and offers many possibilities in terms of touring and walking. The island has many beautiful sand beaches and it is well developed in terms of touristic installations but in mild way. The island of Myconos is at a distance of only 10 minutes by speedboat (half an hour by regular ships) if intense night life is desired.
